The Acaiá Cave Tour is a unique and adventurous experience on Ilha Grande, focusing on the exploration of an impressive natural sea cave. The itinerary combines the beauty of the crystal-clear waters of the north coast with the adventure of entering an underground cave where the water sparkles. The tour usually use smaller, faster boats called “CF” that facilitate boarding and disembarking on rocks.
The Stops: Acaiá Cave: The main attraction. Located at Ponta do Acaiá, the cave is about 8 meters below sea level. Access is through a crack in the rock, requiring visitors to descend a narrow staircase and, in part of the way, crawl or crouch to pass. Inside, the incoming light creates a mesmerizing fluorescent effect on the turquoise water, an indescribable natural spectacle; Green Lagoon: A popular snorkeling stop, with excellent visibility, teeming with marine life; Blue Lagoon: Another famous natural aquarium; Grumixama or Passaterra for an extra stop or for lunch.
